He stayed for the full three years of the war, covering what happened as a journalist. He was the only journalist at the time who used color lm. Many of the photos took offer a window into a country at war. Encountering families, children and soldiers living the midst of war, you will be able to re ect precious people around you. As John Rich recollected, ‘it was unbelievable that in such beautiful surroundings, there was a war going on not far away’ You can see how the peaceful every day was transformed into war. You can see the strong will to go on about their daily lives in these photos of the everyday in the midst of war. Through this exhibition, we hope that you see the lives and hopes of people in the midst of war.
